Visit Home

We took a last minute trip home to NH/MA this month and Becca really got to know some of her Aunts and Uncles, Great Aunts and Uncles, cousins, and Grandparents. She would wake up most mornings asking for one of them. She would wake up wanting to know where Mimi or Pappy was and throughout the day call for her favorite new friend Jenni. At Aunt Amy's she would wake up calling for Auntie Amy and Megan (the girl Amy nannies for). Those were only a few of her new favorite people. She loved Jessica and when Jessica would eat her Texas Toes. I wish we went for different reasons but I am happy that Becca got to spend some time with a lot of family. Becca also found some new toys that she really likes to play with including dress up princess clothes and shoes, make-up, and stuff to do hair (blow dryer and curling iron). She also liked playing with Nana Gillooly's camera and laughed everytime she took a picture. She danced with PJ one day and showed us some of her dancing skills. She had a lot of fun.

Painted the Kitchen

Jeff and I spent the evening painting the kitchen. The color isn't much different but it does have a different sheen and it is slightly darker. I want to have my friend come over to paint a blue line around the room but that will be done later. The picture on the top right shows you the different color near the end of painting. The big picture is the before and the bottom right is the finished product. We have some places we will need to touch up in the morning but it is basically done. We wanted to clean up some of the marks that were unable to come off but liked the basic color since I have americana stuff in there. One added benefit of painting was I was probably able to burn of a few of the extra calories I had during Christmas! (Down 12lbs so far!)

Braided Becca's Hair

I tried again to braid Becca's hair. It worked out a lot better now that it is longer. I didn't do the whole thing this time but will at another time. Here are pics.

Christmas Day

Here is a bunch of pictures of Becca opening her gifts. We wish we could have been with all of you. She really enjoyed opening her gifts and was really particular about the wrapping paper. She had to get every piece off before she looked at the toy. She loved everything and was very excited about each thing.

December

So as we all know I am not good about Blogging. Maybe that will be my New Years resolution to try to blog more often. Here is a collage of our December. It snowed for about 20 minutes this month. I took a pic of that snow (look closely at the pic of the fence at the top of the collage) and then got Becca ready and outside. Once we got outside it was over! oh well. We also made cookies 2 times this month. We made rum logs and then saw Julie's pics of reindeer cookies and made those too. Becca got a video of Santa so we played it for her on the computer. She also loves watching the frosty movie so we set it up for her on her table and chairs. One of the other pictures is of Becca holding my purse. She decided one day that she had to have one too so she grabbed one that I use when going out with out her. Becca was able to put on her socks all by herself too! That is the picture with the red socks on the top right. And there is a few of her on Christmas eve in her pretty green and white dress. I will post some Christmas ones too. (I was trying out a program that made the collage so please ignore the writing on the bottom)

Becca's Hair

I can't believe how long Becca's hair is getting. We are growing her bangs out so we have to put it up everyday but she is really good about having it done. Not sure how she ended up with the light colored considering Jeff and I both have brown hair. Mailman??!!

Pumpkins!

We had our really good friends, the Owuor's, over last night for dinner. After dinner we had the girls decorate pumpkins. I found things at walmart that you can just stick into the pumpkins just like Mr. Potato head. The girls had fun picking out the items and sticking them into the pumpkins. Here are the results!
